Earth Hour Kickoff Event

COLUMBIA, MO (March 21, 2012) - An Earth Hour kickoff event will be held at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, on Thursday, March 22, at noon. Mayor Bob McDavid's Earth Hour proclamation will be read by Councilperson Barbara Hoppe, followed by announcements of Earth Hour events and a tour of the green features in City Hall's LEED Gold building. Earth Hour will take place Saturday, March 31, from 8:30-9:30 p.m. 

Columbians are encouraged to let the Office of Sustainability know what they are doing to celebrate Earth Hour by emailing Sustainability Manager Barbara Buffaloe at BaBuffal at GoColumbiaMo.com.
