Temporary lane and sidewalk closure on Hitt Street

COLUMBIA, MO (March 22, 2012) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that beginning Monday, March 26, Hitt Street at the intersection of Broadway will be restricted to one way, allowing only southbound traffic on Hitt Street. The sidewalk on the west side of Hitt will also be closed to pedestrians. This lane and sidewalk closure is due to tuck pointing and repairs on the building at 1020 E. Broadway. These closures will remain in affect until through April 16, weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and use a detour to avoid delays.
