Public hearing regarding proposed amendments to CATSO Major Roadway Plan set for May 24

COLUMBIA, MO (May 11, 2012) - The Columbia Area Transportation Study Organization (CATSO) Coordinating Committee and Technical Committee have discussed revisions to the CATSO Major Roadway Plan (MRP) and have now scheduled potential amendments for a public hearing. The proposed six amendments are revisions to future and existing roadways currently shown in the CATSO Major Roadway Plan in the northeast portion of the Columbia metro area. The revisions for consideration are along the St. Charles Road corridor on the north side of Interstate 70.

The public hearing will be held Thursday, May 24, at the CATSO Coordinating Committee meeting at 2:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 701 East Broadway. The public is invited to attend and comment on any of the proposals on or before the public hearing.

The CATSO Coordinating Committee meeting agenda, including a staff report on the proposed Major Roadway Plan revisions, will be available Friday, May 18, at http://www.gocolumbiamo.com/Planning/Commissions/CATSO/index.php.

Additionally, the public is welcome to review information on this proposal at the city's Community Development office on the fifth floor of City Hall or may call (573) 874-7239 for additional information.

This meeting is free and open to the public. City Hall is an accessible facility.
