Public Input Meeting – Proposed Changes to the Tent Permits and Requirements

COLUMBIA, MO (May 11, 2012) - A public input meeting will be held Tuesday, May 22, from 5-6 p.m. in conference room 1C of City Hall to discuss proposed changes to International Fire Code (IFC) tent requirements and how staff should handle tent permits.

At this time, businesses using temporary tents are required to obtain a permit from the Community Development Department and are permitted to use the tent for no more than 180 days in a one-year period. City staff has proposed changes to these requirements and seeks public input on the proposed changes.
