Lead Abatement Supervisor Training to be Held December 10-14

COLUMBIA, MO (November 15, 2012) - The City of Columbia's Community Development Department is sponsoring a Lead Abatement Supervisor Training to be held December 10 through 14 at the City of Columbia Armory, 701 E. Ash Street. This course is designed for those who will be responsible for the oversight of lead abatement activities and is available at a reduced rate of $100 (regularly $595) for the supervisor course. Funds for this training are being provided by the City of Columbia Community Development Block Grant Program to further its housing and job training goals.  The reduced rates are applicable only to the following classifications of persons: those living within the City limits of Columbia, those that are part of job training programs offered by the Columbia Area Career Center or Job Point serving the Columbia Area, private contractors and not-for-profit organizations located within Boone County and surrounding Counties that serve the Columbia Area.
