Parks and Recreation Presents Family Fun Fests

COLUMBIA, MO (April 11, 2013) - Family Fun Fests are back in 2013! Starting this month, Columbia Parks and Recreation will offer this family event at Flat Branch Park the third Wednesday of each month through September.

 

The Fun Fests will feature a new theme each month. Each one will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free. Entertainment for the entire family will feature music, special performances, art activities, hands-on activities, face painting and fun for all ages.

 

The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU TV8, and EntPro Entertainment.

 

April 17: Teen Fest - Sponsored by the Youth Community Coalition

Local teen talent will perform. There will be various organizations providing information and activities for all.  In recognition of child abuse prevention month and alcohol awareness month.

 

Also, kids will have the chance to check out a fire truck from the City of Columbia.
