Small Fire in Body Shop Spray Booth

COLUMBIA, MO (December 2, 2013) - For Immediate Release:

Home Fire Sends One to Hospital

                                                                                                            

On Monday, December 2, 2013 at 5:13pm, members of the Columbia Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 2904 Rangeline Street, Colonial Village Trailer Court, Lot 69. While en-route crews were told a fire outside the home had been extinguished and that a female subject was burned while putting the fire out.



Fire crews arrived on the scene four minutes later and observed a trailer with no fire or smoke visible.  Fire crews were directed to a female subject with significant burn injuries.  



The female subject was transported to University Hospital with assistance from Columbia Fire Department personnel.



Fire crews inspected the area the fire originated in and confirmed it was extinguished.  Fire Investigator, Assistant Fire Marshal Jim Pasley estimated property damage at $2,500.  The cause of the fire has not been determined.



The Columbia Fire Department reminds citizens not to fight a fire. Get out, stay out and call 911.
