Three Incidents Overnight
COLUMBIA, MO (July 14, 2013) - On 7/14/13 at 12:33 A.M., officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Grant Court in reference to an armed robbery. The investigation revealed the male victim was standing inside of his garage unloading items from his vehicle when two black males entered the open garage and pointed a handgun at the victim. The suspects stole items from the victim and fled the scene on foot.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTIONS:
Suspect #1: black male, 5"10" to 6'02", weighing 175 to 190 lbs. last seen wearing white clothing and a bandana over his face.
Suspect #2: black male 5'10" to 6'02", weighing 175 to 190 lbs. last seen wearing dark clothing and a bandana over his face.
2013-007953
During the investigation on Grant Court, officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Teakwood Court at 12:38 A.M. for a robbery with shots fired. Teakwood Court is three streets north of Grant Court. The male victim was standing outside of his residence when he was approached by a black male subject. The black male pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his property. The victim noticed a second black male standing across the street. The victim was only wearing shorts so he didn't have any property on him. The victim gave up his car keys and was allowed to go into his residence. The victim went into the residence and retrieved a gun.
The victim went back outside with the gun and the suspect shot at him. The victim returned fire by firing three rounds at the suspect. The suspect fired one more round at the victim before fleeing the scene on foot. A K-9 track was attempted but was unsuccessful. The suspects descriptions matched the robbery on Grant Court.
2013 - 007952
While officers were investigating the incident on Teakwood Court, an officer was approached by a victim that his residence had been burglarized in the 3400 block of Teakwood Court. The victim arrived home at 12:20 A.M. and placed his backpack with items inside in his garage but left the garage door open. The victim was inside his residence when he heard the gunshots being fired nearby. The victim walked outside to see what was going on and discovered someone had stolen his backpack from his garage. Officers located the victims cellphone abandoned in the woods near the residence.

There was no one injured during the above incidents and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information about the above incidents please contact the Columbia Police Department or Crimestoppers at (573)875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
