Nifong and Bethel road and sidewalk work to begin on Monday, July 22

COLUMBIA, MO (July 19, 2013) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Monday, July 22, Fairway Construction Company Inc. will begin construction for the addition of a turn lane and relocation of sidewalks along Bethel Street just south of the intersection of Nifong Boulevard.  This work will result in lane restrictions and sidewalk closures along Bethel Street.  The work should be completed and the road fully reopened by Friday, August 2, by 3:00 p.m. 

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
