Seventh Street Sidewalk Project to begin on Thursday, August 1

COLUMBIA, MO (July 31, 2013) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Thursday August 1, J.C. Industries of Jefferson City, will begin sidewalk reconstruction of the east side of Seventh Street
in downtown Columbia. This work will result in temporary sidewalk closure.  Access to businesses along Seventh Street will remain open at all times during construction. The $327,777.95 project is funded by Community Development Block Grant, and the work should be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
