Buses will run extended hours on Election Day, April 2

COLUMBIA, MO (March 27, 2013) - Columbia Transit bus routes will run extended hours until 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 2. Fixed route service regularly ends by 6:30pm Monday through Wednesday. Columbia Transit will remain in peak service with a final departure from Wabash at 7:25pm to aid voters.

 

“We’ve extended the hours to give riders more opportunity to travel to and from their polling places,” said Transportation Administrator, Drew Brooks. “You vote; we’ll drive.”

 

There are 36 local polling places serviced by Columbia Transit routes, including the central polling location at the Boone County Government Center. If individuals need help matching their polling place to a bus route, they can call Columbia Transit customer service at 573-874-7282 or visit www.gocolumbiamo.com/PublicWorks/Transportation.

 

A map showing polling locations on or near bus routes is attached.

If individuals are unsure of their assigned polling place, they can call the County Clerk’s office at (573) 886-4375 or visit http://www.showmeboone.com/CLERK/.
