Parks and Recreation Presents May Family Fun Fest

COLUMBIA, MO (May 8, 2013) - Celebrate Bike, Walk and Wheel Week and learn about ways to stay fit at the next Family Fun Fest! Parks and Recreation will hold the “Fitness is Fun” Family Fun Fest from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 15 at Flat Branch Park.

 

This month’s event is sponsored by the ARC and will feature fun demonstrations and hands-on activities. Stage performances include Flipz USA, Hometown Cloggers, Lil Lady Bulldogs, and CAT Tae Kwon Do.

 

Other activities at Family Fun Fest will include Como Bike Polo Club demonstrations, Hulagans hula hoop group, hopscotch, jump roping, four square and more. Also, kids will have the chance to check out a Transit bus and fire truck from the City of Columbia.

 

The Fun Fests feature a new theme each month and offer free entertainment for the entire family such as music, special performances, art activities, bounce-houses, hands-on activities, face painting and fun for all ages.

 

The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU TV8, EntPro Entertainment and Columbia Home Magazine.
