Suspect Arrested On Multiple Robberies/Thefts

COLUMBIA, MO (October 2, 2013) - SUSPECT ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE ROBBERIES AND THEFTS

 

On 10/1/13 at 9:45 P.M., Officers located Jermell Lamar Burnett, 29, at 4508 Stevendave Drive. Burnett was arrested for the Earthgrains Robbery that occurred on 9/12/13 at 1410 Vandiver Drive. Burnett approached a female employee and demanded she open the cash register while he had a sock over his hand. The employee did not respond so he stole a can of soda and left the area on a red bicycle.  Burnett was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond.

 

Burnett was arrested for the Passions Robbery that occurred on 9/17/13 at 7:40 P.M.  Burnett entered the Passions Store located at 1108 Business Loop 70 East, bought an item while he had a sock over his hand and stole the cash register when the employee opened the drawer. Burnett was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond.

 

Burnett was arrested on six other stealing cases:

 

1.)  On 7/27/13 at 2:10 P.M. at 304 Nebraska Avenue, Burnett stole approximately 10 car batteries from Battery Outfitters and sold them back to the store for scrap.  Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.00.

2.)  On 8/6/13 at 4:53 P.M., at 304 Nebraska Avenue, Burnett stole approximately 5 car batteries from Battery Outfitters and tried to sell them back to the business. Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.00.

3.)  On 8/15/13 at 5:00 P.M. at 922 Business Loop 70 East, 63 Auto Sales. Burnett stole 10 car batteries out of several vehicles. Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.00.

4.)  On 8/21/13 at 11:41 A.M., in the parking lot of Range Line Street and Lakeview, Burnett stole a cash drawer from the fruit stand. Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.00

5.)  On 8/26/13 at 10:57 P.M., officers were dispatched to 2203 Range Line Street in reference to a larceny. Burnett stole several tools from this business.  Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.0

6.)  On 9/16/13 at 5:26 P.M. in the parking lot of 915 Business Loop 70 East, Burnett stole a cash drawer from the fruit stand. Burnett was arrested for felony stealing with a bond of $4,500.00
