Illinois Ave Closure on Monday, September 23

COLUMBIA, MO (September 21, 2013) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that beginning Tuesday, September 24th, at 7:00 a.m.  City of Columbia Water & Light Electric crews will begin excavation for the installation of underground electric, telephone, and cable TV conduits at 205 Business Loop 70 E.  This work will result in a closure of Illinois Ave. (between Bus Loop 70 E. and Colorado Ave.).  The work should be completed and the road fully reopened by Tuesday, September 24th, by 7:00 p.m. 

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
