ARREST MADE IN PARKWAY APARTMENTS ROBBERY

COLUMBIA, MO (April 11, 2014) - ARREST MADE IN PARKWAY APARTMENTS ROBBERY

 

The Columbia Police Department arrested Jason P. Smith, 19, at 1:27 A.M. at 600 E. Walnut for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond and unlawful use of a weapon felony with a bond of $4,500.00.

 

Jason P. Smith was the friend mentioned in the original release that was coming over to meet the victim’s at their apartment.  Jason P. Smith entered the residence armed with a handgun, demanding property and money from the victim’s. Smith struck the male victim several times with the handgun to the male victim’s head causing small lacerations. Smith and the suspects left the apartment without taking anything from the victim’s. 

 

The investigation is still ongoing for the additional suspects. If anyone has any information on the other suspects in this case please contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (573)875-TIPS.
