Tree on lines causes power outage

COLUMBIA, MO (August 13, 2014) - At 12:49 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 the Columbia Fire Department dispatched to tree on the power lines causing a power outage. Columbia Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a tree had fallen on the power lines at Glenwood and Rollins.  There had been a small fire, involving the tree and power line, which was out upon fire units arrival.

Firefighters confirmed there were no injuries and fire was out.

According to City of Columbia, Water and Lights outage map approximately 1200 customers are affected.
