Road Closure - 300 block of Ridgeway Ave - August 19

COLUMBIA, MO (August 18, 2014) - The City of Columbia Sewer Utility will begin construction of a sewer main to serve the Ridgeway Cottages development, in the 300 block of Ridgeway Ave, on Monday, August 18.  Equipment and supplies will be moved to the area on Monday.  Work to install a manhole and new sewer main in Ridgeway will begin on Tuesday, August 19, weather permitting. 

Ridgeway will be closed to through traffic during this installation.  The road should be open to traffic late Tuesday evening. The permanent pavement repair will be installed by the Street Division at a later date. 

Should weather not permit the installation on Tuesday, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, August 20.

Motorist and non-motorized transportation users are urged to find alternate routes and use caution in the work zone area.
