Snow Operations - Potential for slickness on Friday mornings commute

COLUMBIA, MO (February 13, 2014) - Commuters are urged to monitor the forecast and road conditions during Friday morning's commute. Today's sunshine and mid-40's temperatures are forecast to erode overnight with the passage of a cold front which will cause road surface temperatures to fall below freezing. Then, snow is forecast to move in just before dawn on Friday. Our forecasters are saying while the total snow fall will likely be less than one inch - roadways will quickly become snow covered and widespread slickness on the morning commute is expected. We'll let you know what our snow response is later this afternoon or early this evening. Bottom line - monitor the forecast and road conditions for Friday mornings commute!
