Outdoor Siren Test on Wednesday

COLUMBIA, MO (June 2, 2014) - The monthly test of the over 80 outdoor warning sirens in Boone County is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4 at Noon. In the event of threatening weather, the test will be cancelled.

The test is conducted by the Boone County Office of Emergency Management and Public Safety Joint Communications to ensure county's outdoor warning system is working correctly.  During the test, residents are encouraged to assess their disaster plans.  

The outdoor warning sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month.
