Columbia Public Works - Snow Operations - Saturday, March 1 at 8:00 PM

COLUMBIA, MO (March 1, 2014) - Crews have reported and freezing drizzle is now falling. Due to the glazing of ice, we are now pretreating priority routes with salt.

Freezing drizzle/rain is forecast to transition to sleet and then all snow later this evening.

Once the transition to snow occurs, we will begin blading priority routes.

Still expecting significant snow totals. Wish to continue to remind motorist that the parking ban on priority routes is very likely and vehicles should be moved to avoid enforcement action. 

Motorist should use extreme caution with a glazing of ice now on many roads.
