Vehicle Strikes Building on North Providence

COLUMBIA, MO (March 28, 2014) - Columbia Fire Department crews were dispatched to a report of a vehicle into a building at 1101 North Providence Road, Family Dental, on Friday March 28, 2014 at 12:18pm.  Units arrived less than five minutes later and observed an SUV with heavy front end damage that had apparently struck a brick building causing significant damage to the structure.

The single driver / occupant of the vehicle was not injured.  Employees of the business were not injured either.  Representatives from Columbia's Building and Site Development department were requested to evaluate the building and determine the full extent of damage.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
