Columbia Recycles Day: Family-friendly community event to be held Sunday, November 16 at public library
COLUMBIA, MO (November 11, 2014) -
The City of Columbia will host a community celebration of Columbia Recycles Day on Sunday, November 16th from 1:00-5:00pm at the Daniel Boone Regional Library. People of all ages are encouraged to come out and enjoy the event and support Columbia's efforts to be a sustainable and environmentally responsible community.
Council Person Hoppe will speak at 2:00pm on the City's recycling and sustainability programs, and read an official Columbia Recycles Day Proclamation from Mayor Bob McDavid.
This event is family friendly so bring the kids to meet Columbia's biggest (and bluest!) recycling spokesperson, "Mr. Bag-It"! Snag a photo-op with Mr. Bag-It and find out why it's never too early to start great recycling habits.
The event is free to attend and will be held in the lobby and children's reading area of the public library located at 100 W Broadway near downtown Columbia. Columbia Recycles Day is held in honor of the national America Recycles Day.
