Lightning strikes Apartment off Eastwood Drive.

COLUMBIA, MO (September 1, 2014) - Units from the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched at 18:16 to 2607 Eastwood Drive for a reported lightning Strike to the building. Crews arrived @18:21 to find flames from the eaves and smoke from the peak of the roof.  All occupants were evacuated and no injuries were reported. Assistant Fire Marshal Tim Bach Stated the majority of damage was to the exterior peak on one side of apartment building with minor damage to the attic. The damage is estimated@ $5,000.
