Water rescue at Old Millcreek and Highway KK

COLUMBIA, MO (September 2, 2014) - Units from the Columbia Fire Department and Boone County Fire District were dispatched at 00:39 to Old Millcreek and Highway KK for a reported water rescue. Crews arrived at 00:50 to find a vehicle in high moving water with the occupant on top of the vehicle.  The rescue boat entered the water at 1:07 and removed the person from the top of the vehicle at 01:11.

The Columbia Fire Department wants to remind people not to try to drive through water that is over the roadway.
