One Injured in Shooting on Forest Avenue Near Grand Avenue

COLUMBIA, MO (April 26, 2015) - On 04/26/15 at approximately 3:53 P.M. officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the area of Forest Avenue and Grand Avenue.  When officers arrived they found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen and a large crowd of people.  Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies and The Missouri State Highway Patrol were on hand to assist Columbia Police Officers with the large crowd.

 

The eighteen year old male victim was transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment.  The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.  Officers are attempting to locate and interview witnesses from the large group of people who were present when officers arrived.  No other information is available for release at this time.  

 

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
