CPD AND MUPD RELEASE REPORTS AND VIDEO FROM 4/15/15 SHOOTING OF MARK ADAIR
COLUMBIA, MO (August 3, 2015) - The Columbia Police Department (CPD) and University of Missouri Police Department (MUPD) cooperated in an investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) in reference to the shooting of Mark W. Adair on April 15, 2015.
Today, Cooper County Prosecuting Attorney Douglas Abele released his findings and determined that no charges will be filed in connection to the incident. Working with MUPD, the following report from MSHP and MUPD body worn camera footage has been made available:

The video provided by MUPD is from Officer Chinea’s body worn camera. CPD Detective Giger was working in an undercover capacity on April 15, 2015 and therefore, was not wearing a body worn camera. Detective Giger’s image is distorted on the video to protect his undercover assignment.
