ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY AT DOUGLASS PARK

COLUMBIA, MO (December 5, 2015) - On 12/5/15 at 7:14 P.M., officers were dispatched to 400 N. Providence Road, Douglass Park, in reference to a robbery with a gun.

 

Preliminary investigation has revealed a male victim was approached by a male suspect while in the park. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property. A struggled ensued between the victim and the suspect and the suspect proceeded to flee the area westbound on foot. The suspect did not obtain any property from the victim and there were no reported injuries.

 

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 200 pounds with a tall build; he was last seen wearing all dark clothing. The investigation is on-going.
