Alley closures for electric work next week

COLUMBIA, MO (January 22, 2015) - Underground electric conduit work will close two alleys in downtown Columbia from Monday, January 26 through Friday, January 30. A contractor for Columbia Water & Light will be opening up the underground electric conduit in the alley that runs parallel to and is south of Broadway, between Sixth and Seventh streets. This work will allow a new transformer to be installed. To move a customer's electric service line, underground conduit will be installed in the alley on the north side of Cherry Street that is perpendicular to Alley A, between Ninth and Tenth streets.
