Warrant Arrest Leads To The Recovery of Seven Guns and Drugs
COLUMBIA, MO (November 6, 2015) - WARRANT ARREST LEADS TO THE RECOVERY OF SEVEN GUNS AND DRUGS
On 11/5/15 at 8:17 P.M., officers went to the 1600 block of Parkside Drive looking for a wanted subject, Jordan Smith. Officers arrived and saw Smith sitting on a couch inside a residence. Officers could see one other person in the residence and a strong odor of marijuana was coming from an open window.
Smith exited the apartment and was taken into custody for a felony Probation Warrant. As an officer was escorting Smith to a patrol vehicle, he pulled away from the officer and started running. Smith was apprehended without incident.
A second subject, Denico Crawley, exited the residence and was detained. A third subject, Justin Myer, exited the residence and was detained until officers could obtain a search warrant for the residence.
A search warrant was conducted and the following items were located:
1.) Three loaded handguns hidden underneath a stove in the kitchen. Two of the handguns had been reported stolen.
2.) Two rifles were recovered in the north east bedroom as well as two loaded handguns underneath a bed in the north east bedroom.
3.) A baggie containing approximately 7.7 grams of crack cocaine, a baggie containing 11.7 grams of crack cocaine, and a baggie containing approximately 2.1 grams of powder cocaine was located in the kitchen freezer.
4.) Electronic scale
Jordan Smith, age 22, from Columbia, was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, Resisting or Interfering with an Arrest with a bond of $4,500.00, a Probation and Parole Felony Warrant with no bond set, and Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce Controlled Substance with a to be set bond.
Denico Crawley, age 28, from Columbia, was arrested for Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess Concealed Firearms with a bond of $4,500.00, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00 , and Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce Controlled Substance with a to be set bond.
Justin Myers , age 22, from Columbia, was arrested for Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess Concealed Firearms with a bond of $4,500.00, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, and Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce Controlled Substance with a to be set bond.
