Work Continues to Solve Delays with 9-1-1 Calls

COLUMBIA, MO (October 8, 2015) - Technicians with CenturyLink are continuing diagnostic and repair work in an effort to correct apparent issues with incoming 9-1-1 calls at Boone County Joint Communications.

At the present time, residents can continue to call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency. In doing so, they will encounter a recorded message and are encouraged to press “1” immediately, to be connected to the 9-1-1 Operations Center.

If there are any significant delays before hearing either an automated voice or speaking with a 9-1-1 Operator please call 573-442-6131 and/or respond to the nearest Police, Fire or EMS facility.
