COLUMBIA, MO (October 16, 2015) - October 16, 2015 – For immediate release 

 

Early Morning Siren Activation

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Boone County outdoor warning sirens were inadvertently activated by dispatchers at 6:30 a.m., during a daily radio system test.  The activation was not a malfunction of the warning system.  A review of the process for siren activations is being conducted to evaluate the need for any changes.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
