Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
COLUMBIA, MO (April 8, 2016) - Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
April 11 (noon to 6 p.m.) and April 12 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center1201 Rollins St.University of Missouri - Columbia campus
The 11th Advancing Renewables in the Midwest offers attendees the opportunity to hear speakers from across the country discuss progress made and new trends in renewable energy. The keynote speakers for this two-day conference are Sue Kelly, President and CEO of the American Public Power Association and Deirdre Hirner, Midwest Regional Director of the American Wind Association. Topics that will be covered include advances in solar, wind, biodiesel, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, the Clean Power Plan, economic development and job creation.
The cost of the conference for those registering on or after April 9 is $100 for the general public and $150 for energy professionals. Registration can be accomplished online at AdvancingRenewables.org or by calling 573-882-4349 or emailing muconference at missouri.edu. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on the website. Reporters covering the event for a story need to check in at the registration desk the day of the conference.
The 11th annual Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference is hosted by Columbia Water & Light and the University of Missouri's Department of Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences. The sponsors of the event are Gexpro, the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Midwest Energy News, Honeywell, ECAP, Dogwood Solar, Water Furnace, Nissan and Kansas City Power & Light.
