COLUMBIA, MO (April 8, 2016) - Columbia Police officers have arrested Kraig Keith Greene, 29, of Columbia in reference to this morning’s hostage situation with a gun in the 500 block of West Sexton Road.
At 6:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Sexton Road in reference to a hostage situation with a gun. Officers initially received information that a female victim reported being held against her will by a male subject with a gun. Upon arrival to the area, officers engaged in a brief pursuit of the male subject, later identified as Greene. Officers eventually detained Greene in the 300 block of West Business Loop 70. Both Greene and the female victim were transported to the police department for questioning.
The Criminal Investigations Division led the investigation which revealed the female victim, 36, was forced to leave a residence in the 1800 block of Monroe Street with Greene. Greene was reported to have been in the possession of a firearm at the time he forced the victim to leave the residence. While in a vehicle, Greene forced the victim to perform a sexual act on him and proceeded to drive the victim to the 500 block of West Sexton Road to perform a sexual act with another male subject for money. The victim was able to gain access to a phone to contact law enforcement.
