Victim identified in shooting in the 1500 block of Sylvan Lane

COLUMBIA, MO (April 26, 2016) - Columbia Police officers have identified Gabrielle D. Rhodes, Jr., 24 of Columbia as the deceased victim from the shooting in the 1500 block of Sylvan Lane last night.

 

Officers responded to the 1500 block of Sylvan Lane at 7:43 p.m. after multiple calls of shots fired were received to Public Safety Joint Communications. Upon officers’ arrival, they located an adult male, identified as Rhodes, with an apparent gunshot wound. Rhodes was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

 

The Columbia Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Evidence Team, Street Crimes Unit, and Crime Scene Investigator were called in to investigate the homicide. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is on-going.
