Traffic restrictions on Park Avenue during water project

COLUMBIA, MO (August 4, 2016) - On Monday, August 8, Columbia Water & Light will be upgrading a water line on Park Avenue between Providence Road and Fifth Street. The new water main will provide additional water for firefighting purposes in the area and for Douglass High School. The project is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting. The street will remain open to traffic but the lanes might be restricted at times. Motorists are urged to be cautious and take alternate routes when possible. Customers will be individually notified of any water service disruptions during this project.
