CPD ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT RESULTS
COLUMBIA, MO (August 22, 2016) - CPD ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT RESULTS
On Friday, August 19, 2016 the Columbia Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint in the 4300 block of Mexico Gravel Road. The checkpoint began at approximately 10:34 p.m. and concluded at approximately 12:02 a.m. During the checkpoint, 204 motorists were contacted. The following arrests were made:
. Two (2) No Driver’s License
. Two (2) Possession of Marijuana
One (1) - check subject call of suspicious vehicle avoiding the checkpoint.
On Saturday, August 20, 2016 the Columbia Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Broadway at Old Highway 63. The checkpoint began at approximately 12:43 a.m. and concluded at approximately 1:02 a.m. This checkpoint was ended early due to the thunderstorm and slick roadways from the rain. During the checkpoint, 34 motorists were contacted. The following arrests were made:
. One (1) Driving While Intoxicated
. One (1) No Driver’s license
The Columbia Police Department would like to thank motorists who encountered the checkpoint for their patience and cooperation during our efforts to make Columbia’s roadways safer for all.
