CPD to hold a press conference regarding annual Internal Affairs Report

COLUMBIA, MO (February 29, 2016) - The Columbia Police Department will hold a press conference in the City Council Chambers on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the 2015 Internal Affairs Report.

The Internal Affairs Unit is responsible for receiving, processing, assigning, and supervising the investigation of any alleged misconduct or wrongdoing by an employee of the department. Their annual report details citizen contacts, response to resistance, complaints, and compliments received. The Internal Affairs Unit is comprised of Sergeant Brian Tate and Officer Brad Anderson, both whom will be present and available for questions at the conference. Additional CPD staff that will be present are Chief Ken Burton and Deputy Chief Jill Schlude.
