Public Works crews pretreating before afternoon snow

COLUMBIA, MO (January 19, 2016) - A full crew is out pre-treating trouble spots with salt in preparation for snowfall today. Light snow will begin this morning around 10:00 a.m. and become heavier this afternoon around 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. Snow is expected to taper off around midnight with total accumulations between 2-3 inches.

Wide spread slickness is possible this evening so please use extreme caution when traveling.

When 2 inches of snow accumulates on roadways, parking enforcement will be activated on priority routes, including ticketing and towing if necessary.

Customers can sign up for automatic Nixle text alerts at www.ComoSnow.com and receive notifications of parking enforcement being activated.
