Road Closures for Art in the Park at Stephens Lake Park June 4-5
COLUMBIA, MO (June 1, 2016) - June 4 and 5 marks the 58th annual Art in the Park Celebration. The rain or shine event will be held at Stephens Lake Park, 2001 E Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Due to Art in the Park, sections of Old Highway 63 near the park will be closed to through traffic. Road closures will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and again from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Old Highway 63 will be closed between Jack Estes Drive and East Walnut Street.
Free parking for the event is available at the Boone Hospital Center, across from the park, and Columbia Parks and Recreation Department will be providing a free shuttle to and from the park. ADA parking will be available in the Stephens Lake Park Parking Lot on a first come, first served basis; others will be instructed to utilize the Boone Hospital Center lot across the street and use the Parks and Recreation shuttle to access the event.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the event area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
