Two Household Hazardous Waste Collections set for Saturday, June 4

COLUMBIA, MO (June 2, 2016) - This weekend, residents will have the opportunity to dispose of various materials at two events - both with differences in what materials are accepted.

The City of Columbia's Household Hazardous Waste collection will take place on Saturday, June 4 from 8 am to noon at 1313 Lakeview Dr, the Grissum Building. Tires are NOT collected at this site.You can learn more and determine what items are collected by visiting CoMo.gov and search "HHW". 

The University of Missouri, partnering with Boone County, the City of Columbia and the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District will host a "Tire, Electronic and Household Hazardous Waste Collection" event on Saturday, June 4 from 9 am to noon on Lot N of the Hearnes Center Parking area.

At this event, tires, e-waste and appliances will be collected. There is a fee for some items. Please see the attached flier for additional information and fee schedule.

We are asking that residents who wish to participate in either event, understand the differences in what materials are collected at each site.

Regardless of which site you visit, please be patient as each site normally experiences high traffic volume.
