Shots fired in the 2000 block of Doris Drive

COLUMBIA, MO (June 22, 2016) - At 1:38 a.m., Columbia Police officers responded to the 2000 block of Doris Drive in reference to shots fired.

The preliminary investigation revealed an older, light colored vehicle drove through the area and fired multiple shots at an unoccupied, parked vehicle on the side of the road. The vehicle sustained several bullet holes from the fired rounds. Officers recovered a bullet from the vehicle and a shell casing in the roadway nearby. There were no reported injuries and no further property damage located. The investigation is on-going.
