Homicide in the 2900 block of Leeway Drive

COLUMBIA, MO (June 25, 2016) - At 6:48 a.m., Columbia Police officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Leeway Drive in reference to a cardiac arrest. Upon officers' arrival they located a male victim who was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

At this time, the Columbia Police Department is investigating this case as a homicide. The case is currently in the early stages and therefore, many interviews have yet to be conducted. As a result, the manner of death and the identity of the victim is being withheld until later in the investigation.

More information will be released as it is available. We ask that anyone with any information regarding this homicide, please contact the Columbia Police Department, or call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
