Sidewalk construction on Manor Drive begins March 21

COLUMBIA, MO (March 16, 2016) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced that beginning Monday, March 21 at 7 a.m., Rhad A Baker Construction, LLC of Fulton will begin construction of a sidewalk on the east side of Manor Drive from Rollins Road to Manor Court, and on the west side from Manor Court to Broadway. In order to complete this project, the contractor will need to remove soil, shrubs and part of the edge of the road. The contractor will construct a sidewalk and new curb, per the plan and specifications. This work may also result in temporary lane restrictions on Manor Drive for the duration of the project.   

The work is scheduled to be completed by late summer. This work is funded by the Federal Non-Motorized Transportation Grant.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route when possible.
