Fair Housing and Lending Seminar registration open

COLUMBIA, MO (March 17, 2016) - The City of Columbia and its Human Rights Commission announce that registration for the Fair Housing and Lending Seminar is now open.  

The City’s Annual Fair Housing and Lending Seminar will be held on Friday, April 8 in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.  This free event is open to the public and includes presentations on state and federal fair housing and lending laws, service animals, affordable housing, best practice tips, and implicit bias and its effects on fair housing and lending.  The event will also include a programs fair which will allow participants to meet with representatives of different housing, neighborhood, energy efficiency and sustainability programs.

Sponsors of the event include the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the Columbia Housing Authority and the Columbia Apartment Association.
