Electric system work to close Indiana Avenue at Business Loop 70 next week

COLUMBIA, MO (March 17, 2016) - Columbia Water & Light will be closing a section of Indiana Avenue, north of Business Loop 70, to lay conduit for electric and telecommunication lines. The project will start on Monday, March 21 and is expected to be completed by the end of Friday, March 25. The conduit is being installed in conjunction with undergrounding overhead utility lines along Business Loop 70. Motorists will be detoured around the block, using Grand Avenue to access the open areas of Indiana Avenue. There should not be any electric service disruptions during the week that the conduit is being installed.
