Salute to Veterans Memorial Day Parade scheduled for Monday, May 30

COLUMBIA, MO (May 26, 2016) - The 28th Annual Salute to Veterans Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30.

The new route for 2016 begins at Broadway and Dorsey, travels west on Broadway, north on 10th Street, west on Rogers, and north on Eighth Street to conclude in the parking lot beside the Columbia College Owens Soccer Stadium, 811 Rangeline St.

Following the parade, the U.S. Army Parachute Team, The Golden Knights, and the Canadian Forces Parachute Team, The SkyHawks, will jump into the Owens Soccer Stadium prior to the start of the Salute to the Nation Ceremony.

Traffic will be restricted around the area during the event. Public parking for attendees is available in the Columbia College Seventh Street Lot and Miller Lot. Both lots are accessible from Seventh Street, north of Hickman Avenue.
