RE: Proposed Amendments to the City’s Major Roadway Plan
Dear Neighborhood Association:
The City Council has directed the City Planning & Zoning Commission to
consider a number of revisions to the City’s Major Roadway Plan. These
revisions are additional roadway segments that have been added to the
Columbia Area Transportation Study Organization (CATSO) Major Roadway
Plan (MRP) since 2005. Included are a number of proposed future streets
in the Scott Boulevard and Route K areas, and a realignment of the
future Harvester Road extension east of Route 763 (Rangeline Street) A
map and spreadsheet of the proposed revisions to the Roadway Plan are
included with this message.
A public hearing on this item is scheduled for Thursday, December 4,
2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Building, 701 East
Broadway, Columbia, Missouri. You are invited to attend and comment on
any of the proposals on or before the public hearing date. After the
public hearing, the Commission will forward its recommendations to the
City Council. The City Council will then have a public hearing, usually
25 days after the Commission’s public hearing, and will take final
action on the proposed revisions.
A staff report on the proposed Major Roadway Plan revisions will be
available on Friday, November 28, 2008, at:
