[regionalpark-l] Public Meeting on Wednesday for New SE Regional Park

[Regional Park Planning]

The Columbia Parks and Recreation Department will host the second of two public park planning meetings scheduled in September for the new southeast regional park, comprised of the Gans Creek Recreation Area and A. Perry Philips Park. 

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23 at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash.

Park planners have developed a proposed master plan for the park based on citizen input received from previous regional park planning meetings and public surveys.  This meeting will offer the same information and opportunity for residents to view the proposed plan, ask questions and offer comments as the September 15 meeting. 
 
The proposed park master plan can be viewed on the Parks and Recreation web site at http://www.gocolumbiamo.com/ParksandRec/Parks/Crane/reg_park_planning.php  Citizens who are unable to attend the planning meeting can give their comments on the proposed park master plan by taking the Southeast Regional Park Survey on line at http://www.gocolumbiamo.com/phpQ/fillsurvey.php?sid=123.  The Parks and Recreation Department will be taking public comments on the proposed master plan through October 1, 2009.
