[Vision-l] Sponsors Council Recommends ACP

On Wednesday evening, September 6, 2006, The Sponsors Council unanimously recommended ACP as the consultant to shepherd  the visioning process.  This recommendation is subject to City Council approval and will be taken up at their September 18 meeting.  Visioning and Planning, Ltd. (ACP) of New York City brings over 30 years of experience in community visioning to Columbia, having worked in such diverse communities as Champaign, IL, Birmingham, AL and Springfield, MO.  ACP also assisted the initial visioning phase in Columbia by conducting the forum held in May of this year.

Job description and application for visioning topic group co-chairs and co-facilitators are now available online. These are very important leadership positions in the Imagine Columbia's Future visioning process.  If you or someone you know are interested in volunteering your time for these positions, please complete the application and return it to by September 27, 2006.  

Also online is the citizen survey seeking input on what topic groups should be formed.  Deadline for submissions is also September 27.  Additional input will be solicited at the Community Visioning Festivals in October.
