Start construction of Sanitary Sewer District #156 Project
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced the
beginning of the construction of Sanitary Sewer District #156 Project at
the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Lathrop Road. This project is
scheduled to begin on May 12,  weather permitting. 
	Capital Railroad Contracting Inc., of Columbia, was the
successful bidder on the project in the amount of $108,445.00. This
project will consist of 772 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe,
770 linear feet of 4-inch sanitary sewer lateral pipe, two manholes and
the abandonment of two existing private common collector systems.
	Lathrop Road will be closed to thru traffic between Edgewood
Avenue and Westmount Avenue in order to allow for the installation of
the sanitary sewer main in the street. Temporary lane restrictions on
Edgewood Avenue will be experienced throughout the project as
construction progresses.
	It is anticipated that construction will be completed by July.
Care should be exercised in the construction area and alternate routes
should be used.
